Vacations look different this year. Rather than traveling across the globe, some are choosing to road trip to visit friends and family. Many are opting to stay with their hosts for the first time. Here are some tips for ensuring everyone is happy before, during, and after the visit:

Chose dates that work for everyone. Schedules have opened up for many, but others in the household may be working hard at home. Make sure your visit won’t impose on anyone needing a quiet work space.

Be flexible. It’s okay to make plans, but in this rapidly changing age, be prepared to alter course at a moment’s notice.

Expect to pitch in. Hosting guests may be a new setup for everyone involved. Offer to help with things like buying groceries, meal prep and household chores.

Don’t expect the host to provide all the entertainment. Bring some favorite games you can all play together. Puzzles and party games appeal to many.

Tidy up after yourself. Before you leave, wipe down the bathroom counters, neatly gather the towels you used, and strip the bed. A great thank-you gift for your hosts is a package or two of Wad-Free® for Bed Sheets which will have them doing a #WadFreeHappyDance™ long after you’re gone!
